Closing Date!!

This Friday, October 17, 2014 is the closing date on Mom's house. Make sure to check back and see pictures of the moving in process. The building of the house may be done... but the real work will be starting soon.  :)

Then there was grass...

Today Mom received a picture of the house and it shows the landscaping they did in the front. Plus it shows the side of the house. You'll notice the sides and back were painted (no more yellow sides). to match the front.

More pictures will come after Mom's visit on Sunday... or maybe tomorrow. :) haha

Carpet and Leveling of the Yard

So even with all the rain we received this week, the men were able to work on Mom's house. :)
They laid carpet in the front room, the bedrooms, the closets, the stairway and the bonus room (or should we say Davey's Man Cave). Then the leveled the land in the backyard, the sides of the house and in the front.

Update on the house!

Sorry I haven't updated in forever!!! :(  School has been so busy, plus having 3 people in a two bedroom townhouse is a little rough... haha. Mom and I share a room, a bathroom and a bed. :)  Anyway, before I post pictures, let me give you a quick update... Mom's closing date has been pushed back a month. She is no longer closing this Friday, but rather the middle of October.

Now for a little extra surprise! Mom and I went browsing for living room furniture a couple weeks ago and she found a set of couches and tables that she LOVED. Then as we did one more sweep around the store... she saw a bedroom set that she loved too!

Electrical and AC Work

I drove out to Mom's house today hoping to see something SPECTACULAR! No idea what that really meant for me... but that was my hope. :) Well I walked in through the garage and all I saw was wires all through the ceiling, ac vents and a beautiful (and easy to slide) sliding glass door. ooh and tons and tons of sheet rock!
Also, before I forget... I climbed the steps up to the bonus room. Woohoo! I didn't walk up there, just climbed the steps, took one picture and then about flew down the steps. haha On my way down I noticed two people in the garage. (Shocking and strange, I know!!) Well it was a neighbor from a few streets over. Her name is Jenny and I forget her 11 year old's name. Anyway, they informed me that they have been stopping by occasionally to look through the house. They LOVE the house. :) No worries if you're getting scared Mom... they go through all the houses, not just yours.
